D&D 5e rules

The fifth edition's System Reference Document (SRD), in French, in both of its versions: the 2014 rules and the 2024 rules. One page per spell, per magic item and per glossary term, and both texts face to face when a rule changed.

What you will find here

The SRD is the part of the Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition rules that Wizards of the Coast publishes under a Creative Commons licence. It holds the game rules, the twelve classes, the spells, the magic items and the conditions, but not everything the rulebooks contain. This reference reproduces it in French, as published, with a link to the other edition wherever a counterpart exists.

Chapters

Two editions, one page per rule

The 2014 and 2024 rules are not two versions of one text: the revision rewrote a large part of the spells, items and conditions. Every page says whether a counterpart exists in the other edition and can show both texts side by side.

Frequently asked questions

What is the D&D 5e SRD?
The System Reference Document (SRD) is the subset of the D&D fifth edition rules that Wizards of the Coast publishes under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. It covers the core rules, the classes, the spells, the magic items and the conditions, without the options specific to the rulebooks (extra subclasses, detailed backgrounds, and so on).
What is the difference between the 2014 and 2024 rules?
SRD 5.1 carries the 2014 rules; SRD 5.2.1 carries the 2024 revision, which rewrote part of the game rules, classes, spells and magic items, and replaced the conditions appendix with a rules glossary. Both remain playable and compatible; this reference presents them separately and points out the counterparts.
Is the text official?
Yes: it is the official French translation published by Wizards of the Coast, reproduced without rewriting. Only the formatting changed for on-screen reading, and every page names the page of the original document.
Can I reuse this content in my own creations?
The SRD is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence: you may reuse it, commercially included, provided you reproduce the attribution statement of the edition concerned, shown at the bottom of every page.
Why are the monsters not included?
The SRD bestiary (monsters, animals and non-player characters) is not published here yet. The spells, magic items, conditions, classes, equipment and game rules of both editions are available.

Both editions are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence and each carries its own statement:
