Hey Dungeon Masters, save "Wayfarer’s Town" for your next session! Tag your D&D group below👇 and let me know what shenanigans your party was up to last time you went into town! I love to know about your adventures. This track is perfect for a trade town, rustic settlement, or central hub theme in your campaign. Heavily inspired by the grounded folk soundtracks of games like The Witcher 3 and Divinity, I kept it focused on warm acoustic folk instrumentation: lutes, wooden flutes, viola da gamba and small skinned percussion to give it that welcoming, down to earth feel as your party explores the town. Hope you like it! I compose and arrange all the music with my MIDI controller using VSTs inside my DAW (Reaper) and I bought a commercial licence to the artist for the right to use the artwork. I also did small video fx edits inside DaVinci Resolve. This is a dark fantasy ambience track designed to bring tension and atmosphere to adventures in a dark, mysterious forest. I've focused more on strange forest and animal ambiance sounds, with subtle musical elements added to build a bit of tension without it becoming too creepy or heavy. The track oscillates between lighter musical themes and more tension filled ones. The goal was to keep the mood mysterious and weird, but not oppressive.
